University
The University of Cassino is a public institution that was founded in 1979 from an earlier teacher college. At the moment, it offers courses in Arts and Philosophy, Economics, Engineering, Law, and Sport Sciences. The university has grown rapidly and today it counts about 13.000 students. Due to its geographical position, the university attracts students from the regions of Southern Lazio, Molise, Campania, and Abruzzo. Its facilities are located not only in the town of Cassino but also in the towns of Atina, Frosinone, Terracina, and Sora. Thanks to the various cultural and scientific activities promoted and organized by the university, Cassino and its surroundings have become an important cultural point of reference for Central and Southern Italy.
